Master Data Manager/Data Owner

Job Summary: 

Is responsible for the creation, accuracy, and synchronization of master data across ERP and APS systems. This role ensures master data integrity to enable effective demand planning, DRP, MRP, inventory optimization, production planning, and ERP functions in a fast-paced FMCG environment.

Duties and Responsibilities: 

1. Master Data Creation & Maintenance 

• Create, maintain, and validate master data in Infor ERP LN, including:

 - Item / SKU master (finished goods, semi-finished, raw materials)

 - Units of Measure (UOM) and pack hierarchies

 - BOMs and routings

 - Item-location parameters (lead times, safety stock, MOQ, lot sizes)

 - Supplier and sourcing master

 - Customer and ship-to master

• Maintain planning master data in an APS, including:

 - Item–Location combinations

 - Resources and capacities

 - Calendars and working time

 - Transportation and deployment parameters

 - Inventory policies and planning attributes

2. Data Synchronization & Interface Control

• Ensure data alignment and consistency between ERP (system of record) and APS (planning system).

• Monitor and validate master data interfaces and batch jobs between systems.

• Identify, investigate, and resolve data mismatches impacting planning runs.

• Coordinate data corrections and re-interfaces when required.

3. Data Quality & Validation

• Perform data quality checks focusing on:

 - Completeness (mandatory planning fields populated)

 - Accuracy (lead times, shelf life, costs, UOM)

 - Consistency across LN and BY

 - Validate master data readiness for:

 - Demand Planning (DP)

 - DRP and deployment

 - MRP and production planning

 - Inventory optimization

• Proactively flag data gaps that could cause planning exceptions, infeasible plans, or optimizer failures.

4. Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Act as the primary master data contact for:

 - Demand Planning

 - Supply Planning / PPIC

 - Manufacturing

 - Procurement

 - Logistics & Distribution

 - Finance and Commercial teams

 - Support data setup and validation for:

 - New Product Introductions (NPI)

 - Promotions and phase-in/phase-out activities

 - Network or sourcing changes

• Coordinate cutover and data freeze activities during system go-lives or major planning cycles.

5. Planning & Optimizer Support (BY APS)

• Ensure master data completeness and correctness required to run:

 - BY optimizers (DRP, Inventory, Supply Planning)

 - What-if and scenario planning

• Analyze optimizer errors related to master data (e.g., missing item-location, invalid capacities, calendars).

• Support planner troubleshooting by correcting data and rerunning interfaces.

6. Continuous Improvement & Automation

• Identify opportunities to automate data validation and mass maintenance activities.

• Propose improvements to master data templates, workflows, and controls.

• Support master data KPIs and dashboards.

Key KPIs

• Master data accuracy rate (ERP LN vs BY APS)

• Interface success rate and data mismatch incidents

• Turnaround time for master data requests

• Number of planning or optimizer issues caused by master data

• Audit findings related to master data

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or related field

• 2–5 years experience in master data management, supply chain systems, or planning support

• Hands-on experience with:

o Infor ERP LN

o Blue Yonder APS (DP, DRP, Supply Planning, Inventory Optimization)

• FMCG or consumer goods experience strongly preferred

• Must be willing to report onsite at least four (4) days per week in Ortigas, Pasig, with one (1) work-from-home day weekly.
