Job Description

The Medical City Ortigas is searching for an experienced Nursing Supervisor to join the team and help lead the organization to the next level. This role is crucial in ensuring functionality of the handled Units and guides the performance and function of the units in achieving the mission and vision of the institution. The role is responsible for heading the innovations within the units to increase efficiency and adherence to policies.

What's The Role All About

Job responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Ensures that all financial activities, and resource allocation in the nursing unit, are within the approved budget to secure its availability and consumption and to minimize delays in patient care services
  • Manage the entire operation of the nursing unit to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of nursing care provided to all patients.
  • Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction by consistently providing excellent customer experience.
  • Maintain and provide updated patient health information.
  • Develop and evaluate a quality assurance program in the nursing unit to identify and report the areas that need improvement and to meet those standards.
  • Develop high-potential nurses according to the clinical nurse specialization and track.

  • Resource Allocation: Ensuring medical supplies, staff, and equipment are available.
  • Inventory & Expense Management: Tracking and optimizing nursing unit expenditures.
  • Healthcare Operations Management: Overseeing daily nursing unit functions.
  • Process Improvement & Workflow Optimization: Enhancing efficiency in patient care.
  • Crisis Management & Decision-Making: Handling urgent situations effectively.
  • Patient-Centered Care: Ensuring high-quality and compassionate nursing services.
  • Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Interacting effectively with patients and families.
  • Medical Documentation & Compliance: Maintaining accurate patient records.
  • Patient Safety & Infection Control: Implementing protocols to maintain a safe healthcare environment.
  • Nurse Training & Mentorship: Guiding and developing nursing staff.

Ideally, a candidate must be a duly licensed Registered Nurse and at least 9 units of post-graduate program/master's degree in nursing, with at least 3 to 5 years of supervisory experience managing and directing a Nursing Unit.
