AVK is a Danish Global market leader in the design, manufacturing and supply of valves, fittings, hydrants and flow control equipment for Water, Wastewater, HVAC, and Industry segments like Pulp & Paper, Mining, Irrigation, Steel, Marine and Power Generation.
AVK has more than 100 sales offices around the world and manufactures all the products we sell in our 40+ factories located around the world.
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Demand Planner to own and lead the end-to-end Sales and Operation Planning process, translate project-based demand into executable supply, inventory and profitable plans and to provide the General Manager and leadership team with a single, aligned view of demand, supply and financial impact.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Sales and Operation Planning Ownership
• Design, implement, and continuously improve a structured monthly S&OP cycle. (data gathering, demand review, supply review, pre-S&OP, and executive S&OP).
• Prepare and consolidate all S&OP input decks, demand forecasts, supply constraints, inventory projections, and margin analyses.
• Facilitate S&OP meetings, ensuring decisions are documented, communicated, and followed through.
• Set and maintain S&OP governance, calendars, standard templates, KPIs, and roles for each stakeholder (sales, operations, finance, etc.)
Demand Planning & Forecasting
• Develop and maintain statistical and project-based demand forecasts integrating:
-Historical sales
-Key accounts and other utility project timelines, bid schedules, and awarded contracts.
-Market and infrastructure development trends in the Philippines.
-Known promotions, tenders, and customer development plans
• Track forecast accuracy and bias and lead root-cause analysis for significant deviations.
• Work with sales and project teams to convert projects into realistic demand plans and timing and volume assumptions.
Profitability & Project Support
• Work closely with the General Manager and Finance to evaluate profitability scenarios: (approval of Quotes and Quotes to Sales Orders)
-Cost-to-serve for Key accounts and projects
-Impact of FX, freight, duties and rush shipments on margins
• Provide the business with landed cost and margin visibility by SKU/ project/ customer.
• Assess and flag risk to profitability and project timeliness, and propose mitigation:
- Alternate sourcing or shipment modes
- Order phasing to smooth cash flow and capacity usage
• Support bid and tender preparation by providing
- Lead-time commitments
- Supply and capacity availability assumptions
- Cost and pricing input related to logistics and inventory strategy.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
• Act as the central coordination point between:
-General Manager
-Sales/Business Development
-Logistics/ Operations / Warehouse
-Finance
-Global AVK factories and supply chain teams
• Reconcile top-down (management/strategic) and bottom-up (sales/ project) forecasts.
• Communicate risks, gasps, and trade-off options clearly ( e.g. service vs. cost vs. working capital)

Data, Systems, and Reporting
• Maintain clean and reliable demand and supply data within ERP / planning tools.
• Develop and authomate S&OP dashboards and reports including:
-Forecast accuracy and bias
-OTIF (On-Time In-Full) performance, especially for Key accounts
-Inventory turns, ageing, and stock-out metrics
-S&OP adherence and decision follow-up status
• Leverage advanced Excel and/or planning tools to build scenario models for :
-Different project award timeliness
-Changes in import lead times or supplier capacities
-Exchange rate and freight cost fluctuations.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Economics, Industrial Engineering, or related field
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in supply chain planning, demand planning, S&OP preferably in:
- Industrial products, valves, piping systems, or construction/project-based businesses
- Import/export-heavy environments
• Strong understanding of S&OP best practices and end-to-end supply chain.
• Strong proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms)
• Proficient in MS Office Excel, Word, PowerPoint
• Able to work under pressure.
