Legal Business Partner - Manager

TheLegal Business Partner Managerprovidesstrategic and handson legal supportto Marketing and General Management functions, acting as a trusted legal advisor and business partner. The role supports the business during atemporary coverage periodand works closely with the Legal Director, inhouse lawyers, and key functional stakeholders.

This position plays a critical role in ensuring that commercial initiatives, programs, and operations arelegally sound, compliant, and executed efficiently, while balancing business objectives and risk management.

As a Legal Business Partner, you will:

  • Act as theprimary legal business partnerto Marketing and selected General Management functions, providing strategic and daytoday legal advice.
  • Review, draft, and negotiatecommercial contracts, agreements, and legal documents, ensuring risks are identified and mitigated while supporting business objectives.
  • Provide legal support onmarketing programs, activations, and initiatives, from national to territory level, ensuring compliance from ideation to execution.
  • Advise business teams onapplicable laws, regulations, and local ordinances, particularly in relation to commercial, corporate, and regulatory matters.
  • Support the business ontobacco and productrelated regulatory requirements, in coordination with the Legal Director.
  • Oversee and supportcorporate housekeeping and entity reportorial requirementswith government agencies (e.g., SEC, BIR, BOC, NTA), ensuring timely and accurate filings.
  • Instruct and coordinate withexternal legal counselon matters affecting the business.
  • Support data protection initiatives by reviewing contracts and processes to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place.
  • Collaborate closely with the Legal Director and inhouse Legal team to deliverresponsive and businessfocused legal services.
  • Manage ad hoc legal matters and projects as required to support business continuity during the temporary assignment.

Requirements:

  • Education & Certification

    • Member of the Philippine Bar
    • Bachelor of Laws or Juris Doctor degree from a reputable institution

    Experience

    • At least5 years of legal experience, preferably from:
      • A reputable law firm with exposure to commercial, corporate, labor, litigation, or regulatory law and/or
      • An inhouse legal role supporting business or commercial functions
    • Prior experience working closely withMarketing, Commercial, or General Management stakeholdersis a strong advantage.
    • Exposure to FMCG, highly regulated industries, or largescale commercial operations is preferred but not mandatory.

    Skills & Competencies

    • Strongbusiness partnering and stakeholder managementskills
    • Excellentcontract drafting, review, and negotiationcapability
    • Sound judgment with the ability to balance legal risk and business needs
    • Strong verbal and writtenEnglish communication skills
    • Detailoriented, organized, and comfortable managing multiple priorities
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
