Job Description

Position Overview

We are seeking a Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst to join our Finance team. This role will provide financial insights, reporting, and analysis across our multi-entity US healthcare organization, which includes physician practices, sleep medicine clinics, and durable medical equipment (DME) businesses.

The FP&A Analyst will play a key role in consolidating financial results, preparing executive reporting packages, analyzing revenue performance, and supporting audits, tax compliance, and strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in multi-entity US businesses, with strong expertise in financial statements, US GAAP, audit processes, and healthcare-related financial analysis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Consolidate and analyze US GAAP-compliant financial statements, ensuring accuracy and consistency across business units.
  • Prepare financial reporting packages for executive leadership, highlighting variances, trends, and operational KPIs relevant to the healthcare industry.
  • Partner with entity leaders to evaluate business performance and support strategic initiatives.
  • Help report and analyze revenue across physician practices, DME, and other business lines.
  • Review transactions to ensure proper coding in the general ledger and identify errors or misclassifications.
  • Identify items that should be capitalized as fixed assets versus those incorrectly included in the P&L.
  • Assist in developing annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and long-range financial plans.
  • Perform financial modeling and scenario analysis to support decision-making.
  • Support annual financial statement audits by liaising with external auditors and ensuring timely resolution of audit requests.
  • Provide financial analysis for strategic projects such as service line expansion, M&A opportunities, and contract negotiations.
  • Work with internal teams and external advisors on tax compliance requirements at the federal, state, and local level.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities within financial reporting, planning, and analysis to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Ensure compliance with US accounting standards, internal controls, and healthcare industry regulations.
  • Develop dashboards and tools (using Tableau/Excel/SQL) to improve visibility of financial and operational performance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master's degree or MBA preferred).
  • CPA, CFA, or CMA certification (or progress toward one) preferred.
  • 35 years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or accounting in a US-based organization; healthcare experience strongly preferred.
  • Proven experience working in multi-entity businesses, including financial consolidations.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP, financial statements, audits, and tax fundamentals.
  • Familiarity with healthcare revenue cycles and reimbursement models (Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payers) is highly desirable.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel (financial modeling, pivot tables, complex formulas).
  • Experience with financial/accounting systems such as NetSuite, and data visualization/reporting tools such as Tableau.
  • Working knowledge of SQL for financial data extraction and analysis.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to present insights to senior leadership.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
