Job Title: FP&A Analyst (Remote, Asia Daytime Preferred)
Workstyle: Remote
Compensation Range: $7$14/hr (Commensurate with experience)
Timezone: 7-8 hours a day (Asia daytime preferred)
About Us
We partner with high-growth, U.S.-based startups and e-commerce companies, offering critical finance planning and strategic insights that drive real business outcomes and growth. We are a fast-paced, fully remote team of experienced CFOs and operators dedicated to fostering a supportive, high-trust environment where every team member feels valued and can build a lasting career path. We believe in transparent communication and building strong, long-term relationships internally and with our clients.
About the Role
This is an operator-focused finance role, not a banking or credit role. You'll be a core part of the decision-making process, collaborating closely with experienced CFOs to build robust 3-statement models, run scenario analyses, and produce reporting that is vital for strategic planning, not just regulatory compliance.
We are looking for a highly ethical, self-motivated analyst with strong attention to detail who can thrive in an independent, remote environment while still being a collaborative team player.
Key Responsibilities & Deliverables
- Build and maintain robust financial models: Develop real 3-statement models from scratch to support ongoing analysis and business planning.
- Develop and update driver-based forecasts: Model key business drivers such as CAC, conversion rates, and units sold to project future performance.
- Run scenario analyses: Support critical pricing, hiring, and investment decisions with thorough analysis.
- Perform monthly variance analysis: Analyze budget vs. actuals and articulate the story behind the numbers to non-financial stakeholders.
- Clean and structure data: Ensure data integrity using various sources and tools like QuickBooks Online, Shopify, and Amazon.
- Create dashboards and investor materials: Help develop clear KPI tracking and presentations for company operators and investors.
- Support multiple clients: Manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality work for a portfolio of clients in a dynamic setting.
Requirements (Mandatory)
- Experience: 35 years of proven experience in FP&A, financial modeling, or strategic finance.
- Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience with driver-based modeling and forecasting; strong to advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills (INDEX/MATCH, dynamic formulas, scenario toggles).
- Domain Knowledge: Familiarity with accounting systems (QBO, Xero, NetSuite).
- Client Context: Experience working with U.S.-based clients or teams is essential.
- Soft Skills: Clear, professional English communication (written and verbal); strong attention to detail and consistent follow-through; proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment.
Qualifications & Cultural Fit (Preferred)
- Experience supporting e-commerce, SaaS, or agency clients.
- Prior work at a startup, dedicated FP&A team, or outsourced CFO firm.
- A proactive attitude and a commitment to protecting confidential client and company information.
