Estimating Engineer (Metal / Signage / Glass)

Mode of Work: Work from Home

Work Timings: 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM EST

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Estimating Engineer with at least 1 year of experience in construction estimation. The candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, performing quantity take-offs, and supporting bid submissions for projects involving metal, signage, and glass systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review, interpret, and analyze construction drawings and shop drawings
• Perform quantity take-offs with accuracy
• Prepare detailed cost estimates including materials, labour, and equipment
• Conduct drawing markups using tools like Bluebeam / PlanSwift / OST
• Assist in pricing and bid preparation
• Coordinate with project managers and engineering teams
• Identify project risks, scope gaps, and cost-saving opportunities

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering (Mandatory)
• Minimum 1 year of experience in construction estimation or related role
• Strong understanding of shop drawings (Required & Preferred)
• Experience with estimation tools like Bluebeam / PlanSwift / OST
• Good knowledge of construction materials such as steel, glass, and concrete
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy

Preferred Experience In:

• Structural Steel / Metal Fabrication
• Glass & Glazing Systems
• Signage or Architectural Metal
