Role Description
We are looking for a Billing Operations Manager with direct US group health premium billing experience and strong leadership in billing operations.
The ideal candidate has owned the full billing lifecycle and led premium operations teams in benefits or health administration environments.
Qualifications:
• Direct US group health premium billing experience (mandatory)
• Experience in TPA, General Agency, carrier, or benefits admin platforms (bswift, PlanSource, Benefitfocus)
• End‑to‑end billing ownership: invoicing, premium collection, carrier remittance, reconciliation, variance resolution
• Knowledge of fully insured vs. self‑funded plans, composite vs. age‑banded rates, retro adjustments, mid‑month changes
• Carrier and internal billing reconciliation, AR aging, multi‑product remittance (medical, dental, etc.)
• 5+ years managing billing or premium operations teams
• KPI ownership: aging, TAT, error rates
• Non‑billing leadership experience not acceptable
