What you'll do
- Support the development and maintenance of a high-quality portfolio of Food & Dining for Klook's rapidly growing, global customer base
- Acquisition: Acquire a diverse range of merchants across different industries, from key accounts to local players in a scalable way. Support onboarding of products and coordinate with merchants, operations, content, finance, and quality control teams.
- Account management: Cultivate relationships with partners to help maximize their sales potential on Klook. Communicate Klook's business strengths and brand value to suppliers, and create merchant success plans for long term sustainable partnership. Provide training and daily operational support to suppliers on our processes and tools.
- Optimization: Commit to delivering world class travel experience to our customers, in terms of pricing, inventory, content, exclusive privileges, maintain at a market leading position at all times.
- Coordination: Collaborate with various functions in the company globally - marketing to maximize sales, supplier operations to improve efficiency, customer services to drive satisfaction and repeats, finance to ensure accurate payment and minimize risk. Flexibility and attentiveness to details are essential in our fast-paced environment
- Market updates: Provide market leaders with relevant information on identifying market trends and competitor updates
What you'll need
- Minimum of 4 year's work experience in Business Development, Sales or Trade, or in a Revenue or Account management capacity
- Familiarity with travel & tours related product and access to a network of merchants focused on tour operations, Food & Beverage would be an advantage
- Experience in FMCG, Online Travel Agency (OTA), Merchant-Facing Technology, and/or E-Commerce is required, with a strong background in business development & partner management.
- Proficiency in English is a must for global cross functional collaboration. Knowing a local dialect would be a nice to have, but not required (example: Kapampangan, Cebuano, Ilonggo, or Ilocano)
- Sales Techniques: Proficiency in various sales techniques such as pitching, negotiation, consultative selling, and closing deals is essential for effectively engaging with prospective merchants and driving growth.
- Pipeline Management: Experience in identifying potential clients or suppliers, maintaining relationships, and managing sales pipelines to drive business growth.
- Market Research and Analysis: Strong analytical skills to gather and interpret market data, identify trends, and assess competitive landscapes to inform strategic decision-making.
- Strategic Thinking: Capacity to think critically and develop strategic plans to capitalize on market opportunities, address challenges, and achieve business goals.
- Adaptability and Resilience: Flexibility and resilience to navigate changing market dynamics, overcome obstacles, and drive continuous improvement in sales processes and strategies. Must be able to self-organize, stay focused and execute on action plans.
- Teamwork and Communication: Effective communication skills and a collaborative mindset to work cohesively with internal teams, external partners, and clients. Ability to build rapport quickly with existing merchants, and communicate in a proactive, concise and persuasive manner that generates interests and opens doors to further opportunities.
- Relationship Building & Understanding: Ability to build and maintain trust-based relationships with merchants and partners is crucial for enhancing sales potential and fostering long-term partnerships. Develop a deep understanding of merchants ie. strategic priorities, pain points, decision makers, decision making process, org chart, KPIs, competitors actions, etc.
- Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong and creative problem-solving skills are necessary for addressing merchants needs and challenges, as well as for overcoming obstacles in the sales process.
- Customer Focus: Commitment to understanding customer needs, providing excellent service, and building long-term relationships with merchants which will help to drive customer satisfaction and loyalty.
