The Personal Loans Business Development Manager is responsible for driving growth in BPI's non-depositor segment by developing acquisition strategies, building partnerships, and expanding digital and alternative channels such as online platforms, third-party telemarketing, and direct sales. The role focuses on enhancing product features, credit policies, and approval rates to make personal loans more accessible and attractive to untapped markets. Working closely with internal teams in credit, sales, distribution, digital solutions, and business analytics, the manager ensures effective campaign execution, performance monitoring, and compliance with regulatory standards. Ultimately, this position plays a critical role in scaling revenues, strengthening customer acquisition, and positioning BPI Personal Loans competitively in both traditional and emerging markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Revenue Growth: Increase Personal Loans new releases, outstanding balances, and revenues from the non-depositor segment.
- Channel Development: Strengthen digital and 3rd party channels to widen customer reach.
- Partnerships: Develop external tie-ups with telcos, delivery services, aggregators, and fintechs to access large customer bases.
- Credit Policy Enhancement: Work with credit teams to refine risk acceptance criteria and underwriting requirements to improve ease of application and approval rates.
- Market Insights: Monitor competitive activity, analyze market trends, and design compelling campaigns for non-depositor segments.
- Performance Monitoring: Collaborate with Business Analytics and MIS to track performance versus targets.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal business policies.
- People Management: Provide indirect supervision to 12 Marketing Associates.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required (preferably in Marketing, Business, or related fields)
- Minimum 3 years in Marketing, Sales, Business Intelligence, or Product Development.
- 12 years in Personal Loans/Unsecured Lending (preferred).
