All you need is a remote ready workspace, work equipment is provided by the client.
What will you be doing
- Review drawings, site photos, or client briefs to prepare accurate cost estimates
- Create technical drawings based on site measurements or client input
- Calculate materials, labour, overheads, and margins to develop competitive quotes
- Liaise with workshop staff, suppliers, and customers to clarify job details
- Prepare and submit formal quotes for both standard and custom jobs
- Follow up on open quotes in coordination with the admin/sales team
- Update pricing templates and maintain materials databases
- Assist in the handover of awarded jobs to the production team
- Manage quote records and track progress using CRM and job management tools (Pipedrive, AroFlo)
Who we are looking for
- Strong understanding of metal fabrication and tube/pipe bending processes
- 2+ years of experience in estimating or hands-on fabrication roles
- Ability to read, interpret, and create technical drawings
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel or estimating software
- Proficiency in CAD design
- Familiarity with Pipedrive, AroFlo, or similar CRM/job management systems
- Trade background in fabrication is highly desirable
- Experience working for an Australian company or knowledge of Australian industry standards is a plus
