Work Type:
- Remote/WFH
- Part-Time: This will be a 20-hour/week role.
- Work times would be flexible, but most likely during EST, like 8-12 or the 2nd half of the day.
- Given the right candidate and a little planning on how to manage communications, we could consider another time slot for a special candidate.

JOB OVERVIEW:
The Systems Engineer is responsible for supporting and optimizing multiple client environments with a focus on Windows OS and Windows Server infrastructure, including virtualization and VDI environments. This role operates within a Managed Services Provider (MSP) model and is accountable for maintaining stability, performance, security, and availability across diverse customer infrastructures.
The position requires strong Windows expertise, combined with broad virtualization knowledge, and the ability to manage multiple tenants in a structured, SLA-driven environment. Citrix experience is a strong plus.
JOB ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Windows & Virtualization Administration
- Administer Windows Server environments across multiple customer tenants
- Support on-premises and virtualized resources (VMware, Nutanix AHV, Hyper-V)
- Manage user profiles (FSLogix, roaming profiles, Citrix Profile Management)
- Troubleshoot performance issues, logon delays, and application delivery problems
- Coordinate system upgrades and version alignment across clients
VDI / Citrix (Strong Plus)
- Support Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops environments (multi-client)
- Maintain Cloud Connectors, Delivery Groups, and session configurations
- Apply patches and perform lifecycle management for Citrix components
- Assist with Citrix Gateway Service / ADC configuration and remote access
Security & Compliance
- Maintain secure remote access and MFA integrations
- Apply security patches and support audit readiness
- Support zero-trust initiatives and disaster recovery testing
Monitoring, SLA & Client Communication
- Monitor system availability and user experience metrics
- Respond to incidents and service requests within SLA targets
- Document corrective actions, runbooks, and client-facing documentation
- Participate in change management and CAB processes
Business Continuity
- Support DR design and failover testing
- Ensure redundancy of critical systems and resources
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of Windows Server administration experience
- Strong knowledge of Windows OS, Active Directory, and Group Policy
- Experience with enterprise virtualization platforms and VDI environments
- Proven troubleshooting skills in multi-user virtualized environments
- Ability to manage multiple clients simultaneously in an SLA-driven setting
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops (Citrix Cloud a plus)
- Citrix ADC / NetScaler experience
- PowerShell scripting and automation
- Familiarity with RMM and PSA tools
- Experience supporting 500+ concurrent users
