We are seeking a highly skilled
Structural Engineer with strong experience in
custom residential projects. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytically sharp, and comfortable working with
US structural standards. Proficiency in
Revit or AutoCAD is required, along with the ability to perform
manual structural calculations. Experience designing for
cold-weather climates is a plus.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and analyze structural systems for custom residential projects
- Prepare structural drawings and details using Revit and/or AutoCAD
- Perform manual structural calculations to validate designs and ensure code compliance
- Apply and adapt US building codes and standards (IBC, ASCE, ACI, AISC, etc.)
- Coordinate with architects, designers, and other engineering disciplines
- Review shop drawings, calculations, and construction documents
- Provide technical support during construction as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Minimum of 5 years of structural engineering experience
- Strong background in custom residential structural design
- Proficiency in Revit and/or AutoCAD
- Solid understanding of US structural codes and standards
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and adapt to new design standards
- Experience with cold-weather climate design is preferred
