Position Summary
The Senior Sales Executive (Coatings and Resins) is responsible for achieving the assigned sales budget, gross profit, and business growth targets for the Company's coatings and resin product portfolio. The role focuses on identifying and developing new business opportunities, managing existing customer accounts, and strengthening partnerships with suppliers and principals.
This position requires strong technical and commercial knowledge of raw materials used in the paint, ink, adhesive, and construction industries, as well as the ability to provide solutions-based selling, market insights, and customer support from product presentation, sampling, and testing through to commercial adoption.
Key Responsibilities
A. Sales Achievement and Account Management
- Achieve sales revenue, gross profit, and volume targets for the assigned coatings and resin product lines.
- Develop and implement sales plans and account strategies to grow business with existing customers and secure new accounts.
- Prepare accurate sales forecasts, pipeline updates, and market intelligence reports on a regular basis.
- Monitor sales performance versus targets and recommend action plans to address gaps and maximize opportunities.
- Ensure timely preparation and submission of quotations, proposals, and commercial offers.
B. Customer and Supplier Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with customers, suppliers, and principals to support sustainable business growth.
- Conduct regular customer visits to understand business needs, application requirements, and potential opportunities.
- Serve as the key contact between customers and suppliers/principals for product inquiries, technical discussions, pricing, and supply matters.
- Coordinate closely with internal teams such as customer service, supply chain, logistics, regulatory, and finance to ensure smooth order fulfillment and customer satisfaction.
- Support negotiation and resolution of customer concerns, complaints, or supply-related issues in a timely and professional manner.
C. Business Development and Technical Support
- Identify and develop new customers, market segments, and application opportunities for coatings and resin products.
- Promote the Company's portfolio of raw materials for paint, coatings, inks, adhesives, sealants, and construction chemical applications.
- Provide technical and commercial support to customers, including product recommendation, sample coordination, application follow-up, and commercialization.
- Manage the product development cycle from lead generation and sampling to trial evaluation, approval, and first commercial order.
- Work closely with suppliers and principals in introducing new products, technologies, and solutions to the market.
D. Market Intelligence and Operational Execution
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify trends, pricing movement, customer requirements, and growth opportunities within the coatings and resin industry.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with supply chain to maintain healthy stock levels while minimizing slow-moving or aging inventory.
- Follow up on open quotations, sample status, customer forecasts, and order pipelines to ensure business conversion.
- Manage accounts receivable of assigned customers and work closely with finance to ensure timely collection and minimize overdue exposure.
- Maintain updated customer records, visit reports, opportunity pipelines, and sales activities in SAP C4C or other sales systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or any related course.
- Strong technical understanding of coatings, resins, and related raw material applications is preferred.
Experience
- At least 2–3 years of sales and/or technical experience in raw materials for the paint, ink, adhesive, sealant, or construction industry.
- Experience in handling coatings and resin products or related specialty chemicals is highly preferred.
- Exposure to B2B selling, key account management, and technical application support is an advantage.
