The Senior Procurement Officer for Packaging Category is responsible for supporting global category management for packaging by contributing to sourcing strategies and ensuring alignment with procurement policies and standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify stakeholder requirements and execute category plans
- Optimize supplier base through market analysis and sourcing insights
- Manage end-to-end supplier lifecycle (accreditation, onboarding, performance, phase-out)
- Ensure sourcing practices comply with procurement policies
- Recommend and implement process improvements with procurement leadership
- Collaborate with global teams and internal stakeholders
Responsible Sourcing
- Ensure suppliers comply with ESG and ethical sourcing standards
- Analyze supplier sustainability data and support risk assessments
- Manage databases and support supplier and project-related initiatives
- Contribute to sustainability strategies, policies, and supplier engagement programs
Additional Scope
- Support supplier negotiations and strategic sourcing decisions
- Handle larger projects with greater autonomy
- Partner with category leaders to implement sustainability initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, Sustainability, or related field
- At least 3 years of experience in procurement or responsible sourcing
- Experience in handling Packaging Category is a plus.
- Experience in category management, supplier engagement, or operations is an advantage
- Background in sustainability or risk management is preferred
- Experience working in cross-functional, project-based environments
- Willing to work in a hybrid setup in Ortigas, Pasig
