About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Accountant who will play a key role in managing the end-to-end accounting process, particularly focused on month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting.

This role is ideal for someone with strong analytical skills and hands-on experience in NetSuite and e-commerce accounting, who thrives in a fast-paced, multi-client environment. You will focus on validating financial data, resolving discrepancies, and ensuring accuracy across all accounting processes.

Work Hours: 9:00 AM 6:00 PM (EST) / 9:00PM - 6:00AM (PHT)

Work Setup: Remote

What you'll do

Daily & Ongoing Activities

• Review and verify daily financial data syncs from platforms such as Amazon, Shopify, and PayPal
• Reconcile transactions against source data and bank deposits
• Review and validate client-entered expenses for accuracy and proper coding
• Identify and flag discrepancies or unusual transactions

Month-End Close (Days 38)

• Execute AP and AR close processes, ensuring completeness and accuracy
• Perform fixed asset and general ledger close procedures
• Post adjusting entries and conduct overall account review
• Assist in consolidation (if applicable) and finalize closing activities
• Prepare cash flow documentation and support reports

Revenue & Sales Analysis

• Reconcile revenue accounts and validate sales data by channel
• Ensure proper revenue recognition and deferred revenue treatment
• Conduct monthly sales analysis and investigate variances
• Validate alignment between cash receipts and platform remittances

Inventory & COGS Management

• Track inventory movement and reconcile with system records
• Calculate and validate Cost of Goods Sold (COGS)
• Perform variance analysis and investigate discrepancies
• Support inventory counts and resolve differences

Balance Sheet & Reconciliations

• Prepare and maintain balance sheet reconciliations
• Monitor prepaid expenses, accruals, and fixed assets
• Maintain supporting schedules and resolve reconciling items

Reporting & Documentation

• Prepare draft financial statements for review
• Support FP&A reporting and variance analysis
• Maintain organized documentation and accounting records
• Assist in documenting accounting policies and procedures

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
• 35 years of general accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, especially revenue recognition and inventory
• Hands-on experience with NetSuite (required)
• Experience in e-commerce platforms (Shopify, Amazon) is highly preferred
• Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis)
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

Nice to Have

• Experience working in a multi-client or consulting environment
• Exposure to financial systems integrations and automation
