PCG is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant or Accounting Manager to join our growing finance team. This role will be responsible for managing key accounting operations, supporting month-end close activities, maintaining compliance with U.S. GAAP, and contributing to process improvements across the organization.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in accounts payable, general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and month-end close procedures. Experience with cryptocurrency accounting is highly preferred, though not required. Key Responsibilities
Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable
- Own the full Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable cycle.
- Review, code, and process vendor invoices accurately and efficiently.
- Prepare and process vendor payments.
- Resolve invoice discrepancies and payment-related issues.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for vendor inquiries and internal stakeholder communications.
- Monitor receivable balances and assist with collections as needed.
Credit Card & Cash Management
- Manage and review coding of company credit card transactions.
- Perform timely reconciliations of credit card accounts and bank accounts.
- Record daily cash receipts and disbursements.
- Maintain supporting documentation and ensure compliance with company policies.
Month-End Close & General Accounting
- Prepare monthly journal entries and maintain the general ledger.
- Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate variances.
- Maintain and reconcile schedules including fixed assets, prepaids, accruals, and other general ledger accounts.
- Prepare and review trial balances and supporting schedules.
- Assist in tracking and analyzing cost variances and financial trends.
Cryptocurrency Accounting
- Manage cryptocurrency accounting and reconciliations.
- Track digital asset transactions, valuations, and related accounting entries.
- Utilize blockchain explorers and web-based tools to verify and reconcile transactions.
- Support accurate financial reporting and compliance related to digital assets.
Projects & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal accounting policies.
- Support audits and provide documentation as required.
- Assist with ad hoc financial analyses, reporting, and special projects.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and month-end close procedures.
- Experience managing Accounts Payable and General Accounting functions.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with vendors and cross-functional teams.
- Experience with:
- QuickBooks Online (QBO)
- BILL
- Ramp
- Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel
Preferred
- Experience with cryptocurrency accounting and digital asset reconciliations.
- Familiarity with Navan.
- CPA designation or progress toward certification.
- Experience in a high-growth startup or technology environment.
