About The Job

We are seeking an experienced SEO & AEO Manager to own organic search performance and AI-driven discovery across multiple WordPress websites serving both B2B and B2C audiences. This role is responsible for traditional SEO execution (technical, on-page, content, and performance) as well as AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) to ensure content performs well in AI-powered search, featured snippets, and conversational search experiences.

This role requires a strong balance of technical expertise, content strategy, and cross-site governance, with the ability to scale best practices across multiple brands and business units.

Responsibilities

  • SEO Strategy & Execution (B2B + B2C)
  • Develop and execute SEO strategies aligned to business goals across multiple WordPress sites.
  • Manage:
  • On-page SEO
  • Technical SEO
  • Content optimization
  • Internal linking strategies
  • Optimize for both B2B intent-driven journeys and B2C discovery-driven behavior.
  • AEO (Answer Engine Optimization)
  • Optimize content for AI-powered and conversational search, including:
  • Featured snippets
  • People Also Ask (PAA)
  • Voice search
  • AI-generated answers
  • Structure content for clarity, authority, and answerability.
  • Implement schema and structured data to support AEO performance.
  • WordPress SEO Management
  • Manage SEO configurations across WordPress environments, including:
  • SEO plugins (e.g., Yoast, Rank Math)
  • Site architecture and taxonomy
  • URL structures and redirects
  • Ensure consistency in SEO standards across all WordPress sites.
  • Technical SEO
  • Conduct regular technical audits to identify and resolve:
  • Site speed and Core Web Vitals issues
  • Indexing and crawlability problems
  • Broken links, redirects, and errors
  • Partner with developers to implement fixes efficiently.
  • Content Optimization & Collaboration
  • Work with content, editorial, and marketing teams to:
  • Optimize existing content
  • Guide new content creation for SEO and AEO
  • Develop keyword and topic frameworks aligned with search intent.
  • Ensure content balances search performance with user experience.
  • Performance Tracking & Reporting
  • Monitor and report on:
  • Organic traffic and rankings
  • Engagement and conversion performance
  • Featured snippet and AEO visibility
  • Use tools such as:
  • Google Search Console
  • Google Analytics (GA4)
  • SEO platforms (e.g., Ahrefs, SEMrush)
  • Deliver clear monthly reports with insights and recommendations.
  • Governance & Scaling
  • Establish SEO and AEO best practices, documentation, and standards across sites.
  • Support multiple stakeholders and brands with consistent execution.
  • Stay current on algorithm updates, AI search trends, and WordPress best practices.

Required Qualifications

  • 4–7+ years experience in SEO, including multi-site WordPress environments
  • Strong hands-on experience with:
  • Technical SEO
  • On-page optimization
  • Keyword and intent research
  • Working knowledge of AEO and AI-driven search behavior
  • Experience supporting both B2B and B2C websites

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing SEO across multiple brands or companies
  • Familiarity with schema markup and structured data
  • Experience with content-heavy or editorial WordPress sites
  • Ability to collaborate with developers and content teams

Salary & Benefits

  • Pay: Hourly, $ 10.00 – 12.00
