About the role
We are seeking a highly experienced SAP PP/QM Consultant for a 3–6 month contract role. The consultant will lead the assessment of business and application requirements, drive functional and system specifications, and conduct fit/gap analysis.
You will be responsible for business process modeling, SAP S/4HANA configuration, test execution, documentation, and knowledge transfer. This role also involves mentoring teammates, supporting deployment and sustainment, and assisting in pre-sales activities when required.
Responsibilities
- Lead assessment of business and application requirements.
- Drive development of functional and system specifications.
- Conduct fit/gap analysis and lead business process modeling.
- Configure SAP PP/QM according to business requirements.
- Develop and execute tests to validate functionalities.
- Maintain documentation and ensure effective knowledge transfer.
- Provide deployment and sustainment support.
- Ensure quality of delivery for self and teammates.
- Mentor and train teammates to build skills.
- Assist in pre-sales activities as necessary.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of SAP PP/QM consulting experience (senior/principal level).
- Extensive support experience in SAP PP/QM functionalities.
- Strong configuration skills in SAP S/4HANA.
- Experience designing and configuring key integration points of PP and QM with other SAP modules.
- SAP certification preferred.
- Experience with Fiori preferred.
- Consulting practice and technique knowledge.
- Comprehensive understanding of Plan to Manufacture business processes.
- Strong client relationship management skills.
- Excellent time-management and ability to deliver results under aggressive timelines.
- Effective coaching and knowledge transfer skills.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
- Knowledge of IDOC and EDI is a plus.
- Familiarity with support tools (Omnitracker, SAP Incident Manager, JIRA, ZenDesk) is a plus.
- Knowledge of user exits preferred.
- Proactive in resolving tickets, even with unfamiliar topics.
- Willing to work on any shift (Day, Mid, or Night) depending on client requirements.
- Ability to adhere to company processes and practices.
