Job Description

The Reporting & Business Analyst will play a critical role in supporting a Stagwell Agency by delivering accurate, timely, and actionable insights. This role partners directly with agency leadership, finance, and operational teams to design reports, analyze performance, and provide recommendations that drive smarter decisions and process improvements.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly analytical, and skilled at translating data into meaningful insights that support both day-to-day operations and long-term strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Reporting & Analytics
  • Develop, maintain, and distribute recurring reports and dashboards to track agency financial, operational, and client performance.
  • Analyze trends, variances, and KPIs to provide actionable insights that support leadership decisions and improve profitability.
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of agency data through validation, reconciliation, and troubleshooting of discrepancies.
  • Business Analysis & Insights
  • Partner with agency leaders and teams to understand business priorities and translate them into reporting solutions and actionable insights.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within the agency's reporting and operational workflows.
  • Conduct ad-hoc analyses, forecasts, and scenario modeling to support client profitability, staffing, and growth initiatives.
  • Collaboration & Stakeholder Support
  • Serve as the primary reporting and analysis resource for agency leadership.
  • Provide clear communication of complex data insights to finance, client teams, and non-financial stakeholders.
  • Train and support agency staff in using reports and dashboards effectively.
  • Process & Governance
  • Help define and standardize reporting frameworks, KPIs, and metrics tailored to agency needs.
  • Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end reporting, ensuring timeliness and accuracy of submissions to Finance and SSC teams.
  • Partner with IT and Finance on optimizing tools, data sources, and system integrations for agency-specific needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Data Analytics, or related field.
  • 25 years of experience in reporting, business analysis, or data analytics, preferably in an agency or professional services environment.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, macros) and experience with BI/reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, Workiva).
  • Familiarity with ERP and financial systems (e.g., Maconomy, OneStream, or equivalent) and knowledge of data warehouse concepts.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a business-oriented mindset.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present data insights to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced agency environment.
  • Experience with process automation (Power Query, Alteryx, VBA, or similar) is a plus.
