About This Role

We're looking for an experienced, strategic Media Buyer Manager to lead paid advertising performance across both Google Ads and Meta (Facebook/Instagram) for our contractor client base. This is a leadership role where you own the overall paid media strategy, set the direction for our campaigns, and guide a Media Buyer Specialist in day-to-day execution.

You're not just running ads, you're building the system, setting the standards, and making sure every client account performs. You'll work closely with Account Managers and help evolve our SOPs as we scale a growing portfolio of 40+ contractor clients.

What You'll Be Doing

Leadership & Strategy

  • Own the overall paid media strategy across Google Ads and Meta Ads for all client accounts including campaign structure, audience targeting, bidding philosophy, funnel design, and creative direction.
  • Lead, guide, and review the work of the Media Buyer Specialist, assign tasks, review builds before launch, and ensure execution meets our quality standards.
  • Develop, document, and continuously improve our paid media SOPs and workflows to support a scalable, growing client portfolio.
  • Analyze portfolio-level performance trends, surface strategic insights, and present recommendations to leadership and Account Managers.
  • Own the testing roadmap across both platforms, determine what to test, interpret results, and apply learnings agency-wide.

Campaign Oversight & Quality Control

  • Review all new campaign builds completed by the Specialist before they go live verify targeting, tracking, ad copy, budgets, and naming conventions.
  • Serve as the final approver in the three-point quality gate for Meta campaigns and the equivalent review process for Google campaigns.
  • Ensure lead tracking is active and accurate in WhatConverts and GoHighLevel (GHL) on every active campaign.
  • Monitor overall campaign health across the portfolio and flag performance issues proactively.

Google Ads Management

  • Oversee Google Search campaign strategy keyword architecture, match types, negative keyword lists, bidding transitions, and budget allocation.
  • Ensure campaigns transition from Maximize Clicks to Maximize Conversions within two weeks of launch.
  • Review search term reports and guide keyword optimization decisions.

Meta Ads Management

  • Oversee Facebook and Instagram campaign strategy funnel structure, audience segmentation, offer positioning, and creative direction.
  • Partner with the creative team to brief winning ad concepts and review assets for performance potential.
  • Ensure all campaigns pass pre-launch quality checks: copy accuracy, visual specs, offer verification, and mobile preview.

Reporting & Internal Collaboration

  • Communicate campaign performance updates to Account Managers on a regular cadence.
  • Collaborate with the team via ClickUp to manage tasks, approvals, and client change requests.
  • Occasionally join Account Manager calls to address in-depth paid media questions that require platform expertise.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years managing Google Ads and/or Meta Ads campaigns, with at least 1–2 years in a lead or senior role
  • Proven experience running lead generation campaigns for service-area businesses or contractors
  • Ability to own strategy and guide a team across multiple client accounts simultaneously
  • Deep understanding of Google Search campaign structure, match types, negative keywords, and quality score
  • Strong understanding of Meta Ads Manager, campaign objectives, audience targeting, and placement optimization
  • Experience with conversion tracking setup and verification
  • Proficiency with: Google Ads Manager, Meta Ads Manager, Meta Business Suite, Google Analytics, Google Search Console, WhatConverts (or similar), GoHighLevel (GHL) or similar CRM, ClickUp, and AI tools such as Claude
