Job Description

The Key Account Manager will be responsible for managing and growing strategic relationships with pet shops, veterinary clinics, grooming salons, distributors, and local key accounts. The role will focus on driving sales growth, expanding distribution, strengthening customer partnerships, and ensuring excellent execution across all assigned accounts.

As the primary point of contact for key customers, you will develop account plans, identify growth opportunities, execute trade programs, and collaborate closely with internal teams to achieve business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow assigned general trade accounts, including pet shops, veterinary clinics, grooming salons, distributors, and local key accounts.
  • Develop and execute account-specific business plans aligned with sales and distribution targets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with owners, purchasing managers, veterinarians, and key decision-makers.
  • Drive sales growth through effective account management, product placement, promotional activities, and customer engagement initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to expand product listings, increase distribution, and improve account productivity.
  • Monitor sales performance, inventory levels, and demand forecasts to ensure product availability and minimize stock-outs.
  • Analyze sales data and market trends to identify opportunities and recommend strategies for growth.
  • Coordinate with Marketing, Supply Chain, Operations, and Finance teams to ensure smooth execution of promotions, launches, and account requirements.
  • Support product launches and ensure strong in-store visibility and merchandising execution.
  • Conduct regular business reviews with distributors and key accounts to evaluate performance and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Monitor competitor activities, pricing, and market developments within the pet care industry.
  • Ensure achievement of sales, distribution, and collection targets for assigned accounts.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2–4 years of experience in account management, sales, business development, or trade marketing within FMCG, pet care, veterinary, or related industries.
  • Strong sales, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales and account growth targets.
  • Strong analytical and business planning capabilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and sales reporting tools.
  • Willing to travel as needed to visit customers and support business development activities.
