The Global Learning and Knowledge Management (GLKM) organization drives learning transformation and knowledge management across multiple lines of business. In partnership with internal recruiting and business teams, GLKM supports both new hire onboarding and ongoing development for tenured colleagues. The team is responsible for enhancing colleague performance, engagement, and growth through the design, development, and delivery of dynamic, scalable learning solutions aligned to business priorities.

Within GLKM, the Banking Team sets the learning strategy by identifying training needs, building comprehensive curricula, and delivering modern learning experiences through effective channels. The Design team plays a key role in improving the quality, effectiveness, and efficiency of training for Customer Care Professionals and Specialists, while enhancing the overall learner experience.

The Instructional Designer is responsible for creating highly engaging, interactive training solutions by applying advanced adult learning principles to practical, business focused learning strategies. This role partners closely with learning professionals and business stakeholders to deliver consistent, high quality training experiences that drive measurable business outcomes.

The ideal candidate brings experience designing learning in both traditional ADDIE and Agile environments. Success in this role requires strong visual, written, and verbal communication skills, along with the ability to present effectively to business leaders. The Instructional Designer will design innovative learning solutions across multiple delivery formats, including eLearning, instructor led, virtual instructor led, and social learning, to accelerate learning and improve performance.

This role may be subject to additional background verification checks.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop interactive eLearning solutions (courses, videos, simulations, and blended learning) for global audiences
  • Apply adult learning principles to create engaging, learner-centric training experiences
  • Partner with subject matter experts to identify training needs and translate complex topics into clear, effective content
  • Build multimedia learning assets using tools such as Articulate 360 (Storyline, Rise) and Vyond
  • Develop assessments and activities to measure learning effectiveness and knowledge retention
  • Ensure all training aligns with regulatory, legal, and internal standards
  • Manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, ensuring quality and timely delivery
  • Identify opportunities to enhance learning through emerging technologies and innovative design approaches
  • Maintain course documentation and ensure alignment with established design processes

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in instructional design, eLearning development, or adult learning
  • Strong expertise in Articulate 360 (Storyline, Rise) and experience with multimedia tools (e.g., Vyond, Adobe Creative Suite)
  • Proven ability to design engaging learning solutions using modern instructional design principles
  • Experience working with Learning Management Systems (LMS)
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills; ability to work with multiple stakeholders
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to an evolving environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in financial services or Banking Industry
  • Degree or certification in Instructional Design, Adult Learning, Education, or related field
  • Experience in creating advanced learning solutions (branching scenarios, simulations, game-based learning)
  • Portfolio demonstrating high-quality eLearning and multimedia design
