Infectious Disease CDS QA Team Member

Conducting a daily review of microbiology lab results:

• Cross-referencing machine-learned conclusions with reputable sources
• Maintaining up-to-date current guidelines in the treatment of infectious diseases
• Data entry and database updates
• Weekly virtual meetings with the Arkstone team
• 40 hours a week, blocked schedule
• Record and track errors and areas of improvement

Position Brief

We are looking for a responsible physician/physician assistant/PharmD/ nurse practitionerto join our team, which provides antimicrobial stewardship programs for laboratories, hospitals, and nursing homes, using artificial intelligence and machine learning. We are primarily seeking coverage during evening hours in EST and weekends. Physician/PharmD will provide quality assurance daily by reviewing microbiology lab data as well as hospital data, and ensuring results are accurate and up to date.

A great physician/PharmD is a highly qualified professional and compassionate individual who wants to make a difference through advanced technology. It is preferred that the physician/PharmD be very knowledgeable in regard to infectious diseases and epidemiology, although not a requirement. The job can be demanding, so a great deal of patience and physical endurance is required.

Requirements

• Availability during the evening hours in EST, and weekends
• Proven experience as a physician/physician assistant/PharmD/ nurse practitioner
• Strong understanding of examination methodologies and diagnostics
• Excellent knowledge of infectious diseases, their symptoms, and epidemiology preferred
• Broad knowledge of common medications, side effects, and contraindications
• In-depth knowledge of legal medical guidelines and best medical practices
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Respect for the patient's confidentiality
• Compassionate and approachable
• Responsible and trustworthy
• Doctor of Medicine degree (MD), PA or NP degree or Doctor of Pharmacy required
