Job Role

Job Responsibilities

  • Provider Maintenance: Maintain up-to-date provider information required for state and government credentialing.
  • System Management: Manage provider data across various platforms used by different practice groups.
  • Access Control: Ensure all appropriate logins and credentials are available and functional.
  • Database Updates: Update provider databases in a timely manner according to specific carrier schedules.
  • Revalidation: Complete revalidation requests as required by payers and carriers.

  • Applications: Complete credentialing and re-credentialing applications for commercial payers and Medicaid.
  • Claims Support: Collaborate with MBH teams to identify and resolve credentialing-related claim denials and authorization issues.
  • Follow-up: Track application status and open escalation tickets for pending or denied applications.
  • Communication: Prepare detailed email updates for practice groups to be sent via the provider enrollment representative.
  • Team Collaboration: Attend daily and weekly meetings; complete all assigned to-do items promptly.
  • General Support: Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • Education: At least 2 years of college education.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a medical practice setting handling billing, provider credentialing, authorizations, and reimbursement. Experience in Behavioral Health is preferred.
  • Infrastructure: Must have a reliable backup power supply (e.g., extra laptop, power bank, generator, or UPS) or reside near a coworking space.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Detail-oriented with above-average organizational skills.
  • Ability to plan and prioritize tasks to meet strict deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong reading comprehension.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (specifically Excel and Word) and advanced internet navigation.
