About the Role
As the HR Generalist, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and supporting our organizational culture by managing the HR functions in a dynamic startup environment. You will act as a trusted advisor, implementing HR strategies and best practices to attract, develop, and retain top talent. This generalist role requires versatility, a strong understanding of HR processes, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Partnership: Collaborate with leadership to develop and implement HR processes that support business goals, align with company values, and foster a positive work environment.
- Employee Engagement: Design and implement programs to enhance employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention. Regularly assess employee sentiments through surveys and feedback sessions.
- Performance Management: Facilitate performance management processes, including goal setting, coaching, and performance reviews, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Learning and Development: Identify training and development needs to support employee growth. Implement learning initiatives that enable staff to build skills relevant to their roles and the company's future.
- Organizational Development: Assist with workforce planning and change management initiatives to ensure the company remains agile and responsive to market needs.
- Employee Relations: Provide guidance on employee relations issues and help foster a culture of open communication. Resolve conflicts and address employee concerns in a timely manner.
- Compliance: Ensure HR policies, practices, and procedures comply with legal requirements and best practices in the industry.
- Data-Driven HR: Utilize HR metrics and analytics to inform decision-making and track the effectiveness of HR initiatives.
- Culture Champion: Promote and uphold company culture, values, and mission throughout the organization.
- Any other related duties and responsibilities that may be assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in a generalist HR role, preferably in a startup or fast-paced environment
- Strong understanding of HR best practices, labor laws, and compliance requirements
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization
- Demonstrated ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
- Proficient in HR software and tools; experience with HRIS systems is a plus
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
