Fractional Controller (Remote Philippines)

Reports to: CFO

Vacancy Type: Existing Position

Work Schedule: MondayFriday, 5:00 AM 1:00 PM EST

The Opportunity

As our business continues to grow, we're looking for an experienced Fractional Controller to oversee financial operations across multiple client companies while leading a team.

This role is ideal for a strong accounting leader who enjoys both hands-on accounting and strategic financial oversight.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Leadership & Operations

  • Oversee full-cycle accounting operations including AP, AR, and general ledger
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Ensure timely reconciliations and reliable financial reporting
  • Manage cash flow, forecasting, and budgeting to maintain strong liquidity

Strategic Financial Planning

  • Develop and maintain budgets, forecasts, and financial models
  • Analyze financial performance and provide actionable insights to leadership
  • Identify cost efficiencies and operational improvements
  • Support long-term strategic planning initiatives

Compliance & Controls

  • Ensure compliance with GAAP/IFRS and applicable tax and regulatory requirements
  • Lead audit preparation and liaise with external auditors
  • Maintain strong internal controls and safeguard company assets
  • Oversee internal and external reporting requirements

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team
  • Establish clear objectives, assign accountability, and monitor performance
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence
  • Provide analytical reporting support to internal leadership
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures

Special Projects

  • Prepare ad-hoc financial analyses and reports
  • Support finance-related projects as assigned

Qualifications

  • University degree in Business, Finance, or related field
  • CPA designation preferred
  • 57 years of progressive finance leadership experience
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Experience working remotely with U.S. or Canadian companies (EST / MST / PST)
  • Self-motivated, accountable, and able to manage multiple priorities
  • Sound judgment and decision-making ability
  • High integrity with a results-driven mindset
