The Opportunity
As our business continues to grow, we're looking for an experienced Fractional Controller to oversee financial operations across multiple client companies while leading a team.
This role is ideal for a strong accounting leader who enjoys both hands-on accounting and strategic financial oversight.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Leadership & Operations
- Oversee full-cycle accounting operations including AP, AR, and general ledger
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Ensure timely reconciliations and reliable financial reporting
- Manage cash flow, forecasting, and budgeting to maintain strong liquidity
Strategic Financial Planning
- Develop and maintain budgets, forecasts, and financial models
- Analyze financial performance and provide actionable insights to leadership
- Identify cost efficiencies and operational improvements
- Support long-term strategic planning initiatives
Compliance & Controls
- Ensure compliance with GAAP/IFRS and applicable tax and regulatory requirements
- Lead audit preparation and liaise with external auditors
- Maintain strong internal controls and safeguard company assets
- Oversee internal and external reporting requirements
Leadership & Collaboration
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team
- Establish clear objectives, assign accountability, and monitor performance
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence
- Provide analytical reporting support to internal leadership
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures
Special Projects
- Prepare ad-hoc financial analyses and reports
- Support finance-related projects as assigned
Qualifications
- University degree in Business, Finance, or related field
- CPA designation preferred
- 57 years of progressive finance leadership experience
- Strong technical accounting knowledge
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Experience working remotely with U.S. or Canadian companies (EST / MST / PST)
- Self-motivated, accountable, and able to manage multiple priorities
- Sound judgment and decision-making ability
- High integrity with a results-driven mindset
