Job Title: Finance Controller - Food & Beverage Sector

Employment Type: Full-Time

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Finance Controller to lead and oversee the organization's financial operations, reporting, and compliance. This role will be responsible for managing financial planning, ensuring accurate financial reporting, strengthening internal controls, and providing strategic financial insights to support business growth.

The ideal candidate is a highly analytical finance leader with strong experience in financial management, accounting operations, and business partnering, preferably within fast-paced, multi-unit, or consumer-driven environments.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management & Reporting

  • Oversee the preparation and consolidation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial reporting in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
  • Analyze financial performance and provide insights to senior leadership to support strategic decision-making.
  • Monitor key financial metrics including revenue, cost controls, margins, and profitability.

Budgeting & Financial Planning

  • Lead the annual budgeting process and periodic financial forecasting.
  • Work closely with department heads to track performance against budgets and provide variance analysis.
  • Develop financial models to support business expansion, investment decisions, and operational improvements.

Internal Controls & Compliance

  • Establish and maintain strong internal control systems across finance and accounting functions.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations, statutory requirements, and financial policies.
  • Manage external audits and coordinate with auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies.

Cash Flow & Financial Operations

  • Monitor cash flow, working capital, and financial liquidity to ensure operational stability.
  • Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, treasury, and general accounting functions.
  • Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, automation, and operational efficiency.

Leadership & Stakeholder Management

  • Lead and mentor the finance and accounting team to maintain high standards of performance and accountability.
  • Partner with senior management and cross-functional teams to support strategic initiatives and business growth.
  • Provide financial guidance to operational leaders to improve cost management and financial performance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA certification preferred.
  • 812+ years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, or financial management.
  • Proven experience in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls.
  • Experience managing a finance team and working with senior leadership.
  • Strong knowledge of Philippine tax regulations, accounting standards, and compliance requirements.
  • Advanced proficiency in financial systems, Excel, and financial analysis tools.
