Job Summary:
Reporting to the CFO, the Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing the organization's accounting and financial reporting functions. This role ensures the integrity and accuracy of financial data, manages the general ledger and month-end close processes, and provides reliable financial information to support strategic decision-making. The Finance Manager serves as a key member of the finance leadership team, partnering with the Country Managers and the local finance teams, contributing to the overall financial management and performance of the company.
Key Responsibilities:
· Consolidate country financial statements and provide strategic advice to the executive team.
· Partner with country managers and local finance teams on all accounting matters.
· Manage the day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance.
· Manage the month-end, quarterly, and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
· Prepare and analyse financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, to provide insights on the company's financial health.
· Coordinate the annual budgeting and forecasting processes, working closely with FP&A to align financial plans with business objectives.
· Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal control procedures.
· Manage the finance team, including training, and performance management of subordi, to maintain a high-performing, customer-focused function.
· Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors, tax authorities, and other regulatory bodies.
· Identify and implement process improvements and system enhancements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the accounting function.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA certification preferred.
· 10-15 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance roles, with at least 5 years in a senior-level controllership or management position.
· Extensive experience in consolidating country financial statements, and partnering with country managers and local finance teams.
· Thorough understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), financial reporting standards, and internal control best practices.
· Proficient in the use of accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
· Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and communicate insights effectively.
· Strong communication and partnering skills, with the ability to translate complex financial information for non-financial stakeholders.
· Proficiency in English and Cantonese is required; additional language skills are a plus.
