The Senior Graphic Designer will be responsible for building the graphic design team in Manila, developing the capability and providing excellent design -related services to the business. The role will be responsible for collaborating within the team to produce and revise eye-catching high-level graphics and presentations under tight timeframes.

The Senior Graphic Designer is expected to understand all aspects of complex content through visual storytelling and impactful design that exemplifies the WSP's brand. Reporting to the Design Studio Manager, this role will support the Clients and Growth team, business stakeholders graphic design team to coordinate design tasks and provide high quality outputs in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

Main Activities and Responsibilities: (including but not limited to)

  • Produce high quality visual presentation, visual communication and graphic design outputs, including diagrams, maps, infographics, documents, presentations, and rich media etc.
  • Design according to WSP's global brand guidelines and those of our clients where required.
  • Manage graphic design projects from conception to delivery.
  • Review the work of midweight and junior designers to ensure quality and provide guidance.
  • Generate fresh concepts and ideas to bring our work to life.
  • Support and manage the Manila creative team to prioritise workload and identify any resourcing issues that will impact deadlines being met.
  • Empower graphic design team members with autonomy to manage workloads, workflows and quoting of work.
  • Adopt a flexible approach to your work by adjusting to multiple demands and/or shifting priorities.
  • Work and collaborate with the wider Enterprise Strategic Bids & BD, Marketing, Creative and Communications teams to provide high quality creative outputs for the whole business.
  • Comply with all role specific Safety, Health, Environment and Quality obligations. Embraces, displays and promotes WSP values and ensure a safe working environment is maintained always.
  • Demonstrate leadership, make decisions, engage with stakeholders promptly, be a role model and deliver excellent client experiences.

  • Use Teams site, Applaud and Thrive+ systems to acknowledge team member's efforts and successes, and provide them with constructive and timely feedback.
  • Manage absence requests with respect to resourcing across team. Use the ERP and Teams site for tracking and approving leave requests.

Qualifications


Qualifications (Minimum and Desirable):

  • Diploma or degree in graphic design, arts or commercial art, or relevant experience.

Experience, skills and organizational experience:

  • 8+ years experience
  • Demonstrated experience in managing creative disciplines from an operational perspective.
  • Demonstrated advanced skills in PowerPoint and Adobe Creative Suite products (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Acrobat, etc.) and working knowledge of Microsoft 0365
  • Knowledge and experience with graphic design and storage systems
  • Demonstrated advanced skills in working with external clients, applying external graphic guidelines, and developing creative concepts and document structure within client guidelines.
  • Demonstrated excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects within a deadline-driven environment
  • Manage relationships diplomatically, professionally, and consultatively
  • Ability to identify issues before they spiral, executing corrective actions in advance with forward-thinking and strong management skills
  • Sharing of knowledge to assist other team members
  • Approachable, adaptable and presents a professional image
