About The Role

This position supports the Department of Professional Practice's role in ensuring the Firm and its partners are duly accredited with relevant regulatory bodies and supports the development of DPP policies and procedures that are compliant with relevant quality standards and KPMG's member firm requirements including its requirements on consultations, pre-issuance reviews , and monitoring activities.

Key Responsibilities:

Advisory

  • Conduct an annual survey to all functions on services that need accreditation or registration with any regulatory bodies or within KPMG.
  • Coordinate with DPP personnel who monitors regulatory compliance for any new regulatory issuance that will require accreditation or registration.
  • Monitor latest accreditation requirements of regulatory bodies.
  • Monitory validity of the Firm's and partners accreditations, ensuring that preparations for relevant applications for renewal are started timely and completed prior to the expiration of such accreditations.
  • Monitor compliance of DPP policies and procedures to the requirements of the KPMG network, relevant local regulatory bodies, and relevant practice standards.
  • Draft announcements and advisories on the latest accreditations of the Firm and its partners, and other matters relevant to accreditations.
  • Draft and issue DPP policies and procedures.
  • Review memos and materials drafted by subordinates for release by DPP.
  • Monitor engagement teams compliance with DPP requirements.

Consultation

  • Respond to queries on accreditation requirements and DPP policies and procedures.
  • Review drafts prepared by subordinates.

Training

  • Assist in the facilitation of trainings on accreditation with regulatory bodies for the practice of profession, DPP policies and procedures, and other relevant monitoring activities of DPP.
  • Development of training materials.

Qualifications

Education and Licenses

  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or other business management courses

Related Experience

  • Any combination of work experience (0 to 1 year) in public audit, financial reporting and regulatory compliance, involvement in policy setting and process improvement initiatives, preparation of internal and/or external formal communications and materials, and project management
