About the Role
As Controller, you will be a part of Mitsubishi Motors Finance Philippines a joint venture between Security Bank Corporation, a leading universal bank in the Philippines and Mitsubishi Motors Corporation, a global automobile company based in Japan!
You will be responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations of the Finance function. Primary responsibility is to ensure the integrity of financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance with regulatory standards, while also supporting the development of financial strategies to meet the company's objectives. You will also manage outsourcing Finance, Accounting & Tax operations to SBC.
How you'll contribute
- Support to develop and implement strategy, ensuring alignment with each function
- Manage outsourcing MMFP's day-to-day finance, accounting and tax, financial planning and analysis operations
- Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements including tax filings and audits
- Deals with audit partners, BIR, and BSP for the duration of the annual audit
- Conduct studies on new tax laws, BSP regulations/circulars, and accounting principles to keep abreast of the current practices
What we're looking for
- At least 15 years of solid experience in accounting, financial reporting, and handling regulatory requirements
- Proficient in preparing financial statements, including consolidation of accounts for multiple companies, as well as taxation and regulatory reporting for BSP, SEC, PSE, and BIR
- Up to date knowledge with Philippine Accounting Standards, Philippine Financial Reporting Standards, and current BIR tax regulations and circulars
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent cross-cultural communication skills, capable of collaborating with diverse groups across MMFP, SBC, and MMC, and skilled in negotiating with dealers
