JOB SUMMARY
The Finance Controller is responsible in overseeing the company's accounting operations, financial reporting, internal controls, budgeting and forecasting processes. The person ensures accurate and timely financial reporting and compliance to accounting standards and regulations and develops financial strategies in order to optimize capital and company resources.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead monthly, quarterly and annual close processes to prepare accurate financial statements including balance sheets, P&L and cash flow.
- Ensure compliance to General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) standards and internal policies.
- Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, fixed assets and reconciliations.
- Develop and maintain month-end and quarter-end close checklists, journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Prepare management reporting and perform financial analysis to guide strategic decisions.
- Recommends both long-term and short-term financial strategies cash flow projections, funding or capitalization forecasting as basis for strategic planning.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting and long-range financial modeling. Coordinates annual budgeting process and monitor variances to improve performance.
- Manage cash flow forecasting, working capital optimization and treasury activities as needed.
- Implement and maintain accounting systems and ERP processes. Lead system upgrades.
- Maintain and improve internal controls and supports internal and external audits.
- Streamline work processes, enhance internal controls and develop finance and accounting policies.
- Collaborates with cross functional team to support commercial contracts, capital expenditures, pricing decisions and financial planning.
- Ensure adherence to tax regulations and coordinate with tax advisors for filings and tax planning.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
EDUCATION: Graduate of BS Commerce Accounting or BS Accountancy, must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
EXPERIENCE: With at least ten (10) to fifteen (15) years managerial and executive experience as Financial Controller gained from retail, manufacturing and F&B industries.
OTHERS : Proficiency in Accounting software, SAP and similar applications.
Knowledgeable in GAAP standards and BIR regulations.
