The Healthcare Information Management Association of the Philippines (HIMAP) is seeking a Communications and Marketing Officer to lead and execute the organization's overall communications across digital platforms, content, media relations, and events.
This role requires a strong writer who is digitally savvy, organized, and able to work independently with minimal supervision. The role reports directly to the Executive Director and works closely with the team and stakeholders to support HIMAP's communications and marketing priorities.
Key Responsibilities
1) Digital Platforms and Content Management
- Manage and publish content across HIMAP's digital platforms, including Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, and the website
- Update website content (announcements, event pages, and other relevant sections)
- Monitor and respond to messages, comments, and engagement across platforms
2) Content, PR, and Stakeholder Communications
- Write and develop captions, announcements, press releases, event write-ups, and other communication materials
- Prepare and execute pre-event and post-event communications
- Develop and release the HIMAP Digest and other publications
- Coordinate with members, partners, and stakeholders for content contributions and features
- Manage member communications across email, Viber, and other platforms
3) Email Marketing and Database Management
- Create and deploy email campaigns using Mailchimp, mail merge tools, or similar platforms
- Maintain and update contact databases and mailing lists
4) Events Coverage and Visual Content Creation
- Support the planning and rollout of marketing and communication campaigns for HIMAP events and initiatives
- Assist with event coordination and communication requirements before, during, and after events
- Support on-ground coverage for HIMAP events, including photo and video documentation
- Produce real-time and post-event content (posts, albums, highlights)
- Create posters, basic layouts, and visual materials using Canva or similar tools
- Perform basic photo and video editing as needed
5) Performance Tracking and Reporting
- Monitor and analyze performance across social media, website, and email platforms
- Generate regular reports (monthly/quarterly) using platform analytics (e.g., Meta, LinkedIn, GA4)
- Provide insights and recommendations to improve reach and engagement
6) Performance Tracking and Reporting
- Work closely with the secretariat, Board of Trustees, members, and partners on communication requirements
- Perform other relevant tasks as may be assigned to support organizational priorities
QualificationsRequired
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in communications, marketing, content, or a related field
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills
- Experience managing social media platforms and digital content
- Basic graphic design and layout skills (e.g., Canva or similar tools)
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Good communication and coordination skills
- Familiarity with Facebook, LinkedIn, Canva, Google Workspace, and basic website content management tools

Preferred
- Experience in PR, media, events, or content production
- Familiarity with Mailchimp, GA4, Google Search Console, or similar tools
- Experience with website content management systems (e.g., WordPress, Elementor)
- Basic video editing skills (e.g., CapCut, Premiere Pro, or similar)
