Role Overview
The Collections Associate is responsible for executing structured collections activities across Solviva's Rent-to-Own (RTO) and direct purchase portfolios.
This role carries operational accountability for delinquency management, customer follow-ups, and timely escalation of high-risk accounts.
The Collections Associate acts as the frontline enforcement arm of the Finance team, ensuring disciplined follow-through, proper documentation, and cross-functional coordination to protect cash flow and portfolio health.
Collections & Delinquency Management
- Conduct reminder calls and overdue follow-ups.
- Track and document customer commitments (Promise-to-Pay monitoring).
- Follow structured escalation ladder by DPD stage.
- Perform field visits when necessary.
- Issue formal reminder notices and demand letters (as applicable).
- Apply late penalty guidelines in coordination with AR.
Escalation & Case Management
- Prepare >30 DPD accounts for weekly Credit & Collections Committee review
- Recommend payment restructuring options within policy guidelines
- Coordinate legal escalation once approved by management
- Monitor adherence to approved restructuring agreements
- Identify repeat behavioral delinquency patterns
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Escalate installation-related payment disputes to Engineering within defined SLA
- Track resolution timelines and follow through until closure
- Surface operational drivers of delinquency during weekly review meetings
- Collaborate with Sales for strategic recovery cases when approved
Reporting & Documentation
- Maintain accurate collection logs and call notes
- Update account status in Odoo or designated system
- Track daily and weekly collections performance
- Support preparation of weekly delinquency dashboard
- Ensure proper documentation of payment agreements and commitments
Qualifications and Skills
Education & Background
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or related field
- 2–4 years of experience in collections, consumer finance, or AR operations
- Field collections experience is an advantage
- Experience working in fast-paced, scaling environments preferred
- Experience working in a collections team of a microfinancing company is a plus
