Job Summary
The Finance and Accounting Head is responsible for leading and integrating financial planning, accounting operations, and financial performance management of the dairy business. This role provides both strategic and operational direction across financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cost management, and compliance to ensure accuracy, transparency, and alignment with business objectives.
As a key business partner, the position supports operations through financial insights, performance analysis, and cost optimization initiatives while ensuring regulatory compliance and safeguarding company assets.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee end-to-end finance and accounting operations, including general accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) and management reports
- Drive financial planning and analysis (FP&A), including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and long-term financial modeling
- Partner with operations, supply chain, and commercial teams to support strategic and operational decision-making
- Monitor financial performance, analyze variances, and recommend corrective actions
- Oversee cost management initiatives, including production cost analysis, inventory valuation, and cost optimization
- Ensure accuracy, integrity, and completeness of accounting records and financial data
- Establish and continuously improve accounting policies, systems, and internal controls
- Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements (e.g., BIR, SEC, LGUs)
- Lead audit processes, including external audit coordination and resolution of audit findings
- Manage cash flow, working capital, and financial resources
- Safeguard company assets through effective financial controls and risk management practices
- Collaborate with corporate finance on reporting, budget alignment, and group requirements
- Lead, develop, and manage the finance and accounting team
- Develop and monitor financial and operational KPIs
- Support business expansion, capital investments, and strategic initiatives through financial analysis
- Perform other duties aligned with organizational objectives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, Economics, or a related field
- CPA preferred but not required
- Years of relevant experience in finance and accounting
- Experience in both financial planning & analysis and accounting operations
- Experience in manufacturing, dairy, or FMCG industry is an advantage
- With at least 3–5 years in a managerial or leadership role
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, accounting principles, and taxation
- Expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to translate financial data into actionable business insights
- Leadership and people management skills
- High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Proficient in ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and Microsoft Office tools
