PURPOSE (why does the position exist, WITH what objectives and WITHIN what limits)
The position exists in order to assist the Business Development Unit to identify, develop, and convert revenue-generating opportunities in the national government agencies and enterprise sector to help grow the company's topline revenue. The role operates within approved budgets, compliance requirements, and defined commercial parameters.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education: Minimum Educational Qualifications for this position
- Bachelor's / College Degree in Industrial Engineering, Commerce, Business Administration or Marketing Management, or related courses
Relevant Experience:
- Minimum 2-5 years experience in ICT, telecommunications, and business development or sales.
Business Understanding:
- Must have business acumen and understand commercial planning and strategies.
Technical Knowledge
- Knowledge of connectivity and network infrastructure, particularly for the national government (national government agencies (NGAs, State Universities and Colleges (SUCs), and Rural Health Units (RHUs).
- Knowledge of government procurement law (RA9184 and 12009) and mandates.
- Familiarity in financial and economic evaluation (e.g., ROI, TCO, CBAs).
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
Business Development
- Assists in market research, client acquisition, proposal preparation, and partnership development.
- Maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships
- Coordinate with other functional units or teams (i.e. finance, legal, operations, service delivery) to ensure timely and accurate delivery of client's requirements.
Market Research & Analysis
- Gather information consistently on competition landscape, national government bid postings, and industry news.
- Should be able to create a simple map of key customers (i.e., national agencies) and common pain points with corresponding solution types.
Client Acquisition & Relationship Management
- Identify new clients and strengthen partnerships.
- Continually build on and maintain client network.
- Provide support in preparing proposals and presentations.
