Job Description

Job Function: 

  • The Business Development Manager will lead sales efforts, drive revenue growth, and build strong relationships with key clients across corporate and SME segments. Reporting to the General Manager & Director of Strategy and Ventures, this pivotal role will spearhead the launch of new services and product offerings, leveraging expertise to identify and capitalize on business opportunities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Prospecting and Relationship Building:

As a hunter, actively prospect, develop, and manage a healthy pipeline of business growth opportunities. Leverage cold calls, personalized emails, and social media to connect with target customers.

Value Proposition:

Understand customer needs and articulate AECO's value propositions to secure contracts with corporate clients.

Sales Execution:

Manage the full sales cycle, from lead generation to deal closure. Meet individual and team KPIs by successfully executing account management strategies and sales processes.

Collaboration:

Work closely with cross-functional teams to define account strategies, resolve issues, and ensure smooth operations. Your resourcefulness and discipline will be key to driving success.

After-Sales Management:

Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention through ongoing relationship management and support

Key Relationship:

  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with key decision-makers to identify business opportunities and drive revenue growth.
  • Collaborates with internal teams, such as sales support, marketing, and product, to ensure alignment and maximize opportunities.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with partners and clients to leverage opportunities and drive business growth.

Communication:

  • Communicates effectively with senior-level executives, articulating business value and negotiating deals.
  • Provides clear and concise updates to internal stakeholders on business development progress and market trends.
  • Delivers compelling presentations to clients, partners, and internal stakeholders to drive business growth.

Working Relationship:

  • Works collaboratively with internal teams to drive business growth and achieve shared goals.
  • Focuses on achieving business objectives, driving revenue growth, and delivering results.
  • Adapts to changing business priorities, market trends, and client needs, ensuring flexibility and responsiveness.
  • Leverages professional network to identify business opportunities, build relationships, and drive growth.

Educational Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field is required, MBA is a plus factor.

 Experience, Skills and Attributes:

  • Minimum 5+ years of enterprise sales experience in a B2B setting, preferably in the commercial or enterprise sector (SMEs, MNCs, hospitality, education, manufacturing).
  • Proven ability to manage the transactional sales cycle, build advocacy with customers, and negotiate effectively.
  • Strong understanding of account planning and opportunity strategy creation, including knowing how to identify decision-makers and gatekeepers.
  • Capable of consistently meeting KPIs, closing deals, and driving revenue growth.
  • Familiarity with global markets is a plus.
  • Track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to convey complex ideas in a clear and concise manner.
  • Willingness to travel regularly within Philippines to meet with channel partners and attend industry events.

Physical Demand:

The physical demands for a Business Development Manager are relatively low, with most work performed in an office setting. The role may require occasional travel to meet clients or attend networking events, which can involve sitting, standing, and walking. The ability to sit for extended periods, use a computer, and communicate effectively over the phone or in person is essential. Overall, the role is generally sedentary, with a focus on building relationships, identifying business opportunities, and driving revenue growth.
