The Role
As a Bookkeeper at StaffScout, you'll play a key role in maintaining the financial backbone of growing businesses. You'll support day-to-day accounting operations, ensure records are accurate, and help teams stay on top of their finances.
This role is ideal for someone who loves numbers, thrives on structure, and takes pride in clean, reliable books.
What You'll Do
- Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries
- Process invoices, payments, and expense reports
- Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
- Prepare basic financial reports such as profit & loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports
- Assist with payroll support and vendor management
- Communicate with clients and internal teams
- Organize financial documents and ensure compliance with internal procedures
- Support month-end close processes and audit preparation
What We're Looking For
- 2+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of QuickBooks or similar accounting software (Xero, NetSuite is a plus)
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Tech-savvy and comfortable learning new systems
- A self-starter who works well independently in a remote environment
- Reliable internet connection (this will be tested during interviews)
- Experience supporting U.S.-based clients is a plus
