Job Description

The Head of Foodservice (Area Sales Manager) oversees the growth, management, and development of the foodservice segment within the company. The role involves creating strategic plans to expand the company's presence in foodservice markets, building strong relationships with key clients such as hotels, QSRs, fine dining restaurants, buffet restaurants, and cafés/bistros. This position combines sales leadership, coaching, market analysis, product development, and operational oversight to drive the achievement of business goals in the Foodservice channel.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for the volume and revenue objectives of the channel.
  • Monitors sales performance, sets targets, defines KPIs, and reports on growth metrics.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to grow the foodservice channel.
  • Pursue new business opportunities within the foodservice segments.
  • Maintain strong relationships with key customers; hold ideation activities with owners, GMs, head chefs, and other key decision-makers.
  • Increase market share among existing customers being served.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to develop promotional campaigns for foodservice customers.
  • Collaborate with Product Development for various food applications and menu creation initiatives.
  • Develop pricing strategies and programs to increase market penetration and beat competition.
  • Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive activity to identify opportunities and threats.
  • Lead, motivate, coach, and manage the sales team.
  • Actively participate in various organizations within the foodservice industry.
  • Prepare and present periodic performance reports, sales forecasts, and strategic recommendations to management.
  • Ensure alignment of foodservice goals with overall company objectives.
  • Perform other tasks that may be assigned by management from time to time.

QUALIFICATION GUIDES

  • Bachelor's degree in Tourism/Tourism Management, Hospitality Management, Culinary, Business Management, Marketing, or any related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in sales, key account management, or business development within the food, hospitality, or related industries.
  • With experience in leading a sales team and handling major foodservice accounts.
  • Demonstrated success in building partnerships and achieving sales targets in the foodservice sector.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Pleasing and professional personality with the ability to represent the company with confidence and integrity.
  • Demonstrates professionalism in appearance, observing proper grooming and attire suited to every occasion.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze trends, set direction, and deliver business growth.
  • Self-motivated and proactive, with strong organizational and decision-making skills.
  • Commitment to personal growth, continuous improvement, and excellence in customer service.
  • Strong background and genuine interest in the food industry, including knowledge of food history, evolving culinary trends, and innovative product applications. Demonstrates a deep appreciation for diverse food cultures and their influence on modern dining and product development.
