Position Overview
The
IC Deputy Team Leader will support the Team Leader in managing and coordinating the implementation, design review, and construction supervision activities for airport-related infrastructure projects. This role requires strong technical expertise, leadership capability, and in-depth experience in airport facilities, ensuring that project requirements are delivered to the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Project Coordination & Leadership
- Assist the Team Leader in overseeing day-to-day operations and technical activities of the Inspection and Construction (IC) team.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary design and supervision teams to ensure the smooth execution of airport projects.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to engineers, inspectors, and technical staff.
- Ensure project objectives, schedules, and deliverables are met in alignment with client requirements.
Technical Oversight
- Review and evaluate design documents, drawings, technical specifications, and construction methodologies specific to airport facilities.
- Conduct thorough assessments to ensure compliance with international airport standards (ICAO, FAA, IATA, etc.).
- Oversee construction supervision activities, ensuring adherence to approved plans, specifications, and safety protocols.
- Prepare and validate cost estimates, Bills of Quantities (BOQs), and technical specifications for airport infrastructure.
Quality Assurance & Compliance
- Ensure proper implementation of quality assurance and control procedures throughout the project lifecycle.
- Participate in technical audits, inspections, and progress evaluations.
- Identify technical issues and propose effective solutions in a timely manner.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Support the Team Leader in coordinating with clients, contractors, consultants, and regulatory authorities.
- Prepare and present technical reports, progress updates, and project documentation.
- Assist in managing project risks, variations, and contractual issues.
Preferred Qualifications

Post-Graduate Degree Holder
Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Transportation Engineering, or related field.

5 to 12 Years of Relevant Experience
Combined experience in the
design and construction supervision of airport facilities, including but not limited to:
- Passenger terminals
- Runways, taxiways, aprons
- Airside/landside structures
- Support facilities and utilities

Strong Background in Specifications & Costing
Demonstrated Proficiency In
- Preparing and evaluating technical specifications
- Preparing and reviewing detailed cost estimates
- Construction cost control and value engineering
