The Accounting Supervisor oversees general accounting operations and ensures the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial records and reports. This role supervises accounting staff, manages month-end closing, supports audits, and ensures compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Review, analyze, and validate transactions recorded in the General Ledger.
- Oversee month-end and year-end closing, including closing of Oracle modules and posting of journal entries.
- Prepare monthly accounting schedules to support financial reporting.
- Supervise accruals, asset management, and preparation of accounting reports for the company and its affiliates.
- Assist in gathering and analyzing data for budget preparation and monitoring.
- Ensure books of accounts are properly maintained and updated.
- Prepare and submit required documents for internal and external audits.
- Delegate tasks, guide team members, and evaluate subordinate performance.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accountancy.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) required.
- Extensive experience in General Accounting.
- At least 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience.
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards and financial regulations.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong leadership, communication, and people-management abilities.
- High attention to detail with strong integrity in handling confidential information.
- Ability to manage deadlines and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
