Our facility in Manila, Philippines has been operating since 1996 with key functions in Design and Development, Engineering, Manufacturing and other disciplines. This site specializes in product design, process development and mass production of Photodiodes, Photodiode Arrays and High-Performance Sensors. These product technologies are primarily for LiDAR applications such as autonomous vehicles and range finding, as well as safety and security applications including smoke detection and luggage scanning.
We are presently seeking for
Accounting Supervisor, who shall oversee daily accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and efficient workflow within the accounting team.
Main Responsibilities
I. Oversee the Accounting and financial compliance of the site for PEZA/BOI registered activities:
- Manufacturing of IP owned products
- Contract manufacturing for related party IP owned products and support R&D and new product introductions
- BPO activities in IT and Accounting/Finance services
II. Accounting Functions
- Lead the site's month-end and year-end closing in Source and CFIN reporting for group reporting
- Supervise the work of the junior accountant
- Transactions and balances review
- Work and provide posting instruction required for shared service functions
- Provide the amounts for cross charge billings
- Provide instructions and approve GL adjustments
- Business partner in accounting/compliance perspective on business issues or concerns
- Overall financial statements review and compliance
- Release PRs for correctness of cost centers and GL accounts
- Manage the Master data (GL and cost centers, profit centers, allocation cycles)
- Primary contact for annual statutory reporting
- Liaise with auditors as and when necessary
- Liaise with Regional Tax team for tax reporting
- Liaise with local tax consultant for local tax compliance
III. Treasury Functions
- Approve payments for non-PO purchases for processing
- Back-up Bank security officer for Asia
IV. Adhoc
- Support corporate initiated projects, system upgrades, process change and alignments
Requirements
- Degree in Accounting
- 5 years experience in a manufacturing environment, US MNC
- 2 years senior accounting role
- Good grasp and understanding of US GAAP and PFRS
- Familiar and conversant with internal control processes and corporate governance
- SAP/S4HANA experience is a must
- Knowledgeable in One Stream/BlackLine/ANAPlan financial closing tools
- Well versed in Microsoft Excel based spreadsheets and other system tools
- Analytical and with attention to details and great business acumen
- Communicates well in English
- Self starter, team player and collaborative
- Problem solver, growth and continuous improvement mindset
