Job Description

As a Fund Accounting Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and transparency of financial reporting for investment funds. This role requires strong technical accounting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage complex fund structures and transactions.

Responsibilities

  • Reconcile all portfolio and cash activity to source data, ensuring timely resolution of discrepancies.
  • Ensure maintenance of portfolio investment master records.
  • Ensure fund expenses are recorded and accrued timely, in accordance with GAAP.
  • Prepare/review investor allocations and ensure fee/allocations are booked accurately.
  • Prepare capital call and distribution calculations.
  • Prepare quarterly net asset value reporting.
  • Prepare/review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with US GAAP, and portfolio schedules.
  • Assist with audits and tax preparation, coordinating with external parties.
  • Work with the treasury team to initiate wire transfers for clients.
  • Correspond with clients daily and ensure deliverables are prepared/requests are answered in a timely manner.
  • Identify and track inefficiencies caused by client issues, or other matters, and communicate challenges faced.
  • Demonstrate integrity and professionalism in all interactions with clients and other members of the firm.
  • Prepare and maintain the accounting data for approximately 10-20 client engagements.
  • Keep an accurate time log and maintain efficient work standards to ensure profitability of engagements.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years in fund accounting, public accounting, or other applicable position with a focus on closed-end private investment funds.
  • Practical experience working with cryptocurrency assets and exposure to hedge funds, crypto funds, or alternative investment vehicles, preferably.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities, with a professional demeanor and proven success in client and team interactions.
  • A collaborative team player who takes ownership of deliverables and values accuracy and accountability.
  • Highly detail-oriented with strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, evolving environments with changing priorities and ad hoc requests.
  • Able to manage multiple deadlines while maintaining precision and consistency.
  • Client-service focused, responsive, and proactive in identifying and resolving issues.
