We're not looking for someone to just maintain the books. We're looking for a leader someone who will own the numbers end to end and work directly with the founders on decisions that move the business forward.
If you've built the financial foundation of a small company before, know what healthy books look like, and have the rare ability to make complex numbers feel simple to the people running the business this job is for you.
The Opportunity
We need someone who can keep the financial foundation solid while the business moves fast. You won't be invisible here. Your work will be seen, your input will matter, and the founders will rely on you to help them make better decisions.
What You'll Do
First 90 days:
- Get familiar with how our books are currently set up understand what's working, what's missing, and what needs to be rebuilt
- Restructure or set up our chart of accounts for a multi-channel D2C and B2B business
- Build a working dashboard in QuickBooks or Xero that gives us clear, real-time visibility on revenue, cost, and cash
- Identify our top 3 financial blind spots and come back with a concrete plan to address each one
Ongoing:
- Own the full accounting cycle payables, receivables, payroll, reconciliations, reporting, all of it
- Close the books every month and walk the founders through a clean, plain-language summary they can actually use
- Handle compliance BIR filings, government remittances, audit readiness
- Keep dashboards updated so the team always knows where we stand financially
- Raise concerns early don't wait to be asked
This Role Is For You If
- You've handled the full accounting function of a small company, not just one part of it
- You're comfortable in QuickBooks and/or Xero and you know how to build dashboards that tell a story
- You can sit down with a founder and explain a cash flow statement in plain, everyday language and they'll actually get it
- You genuinely enjoy working in a small, close-knit team where everyone knows everyone
- You're fully okay with working onsite you actually prefer being around your team
- You've spotted a financial problem before anyone asked you to look, and you did something about it
- You're the kind of person who reads the numbers and already has three follow-up questions before the meeting even starts
Not A Fit If
- Your experience has been limited to just one part of accounting only payables, only payroll, only tax compliance
- You work best inside a big company with a full finance department around you
- You present numbers without context and leave the interpretation to someone else
- Fully onsite work is a dealbreaker for you
- You've only ever maintained financial systems that someone else built
