Job Summary
The Junior Accountant supports business owners by keeping accurate books and delivering clear financial reports that drive smart decisions. This role handles full-cycle accounting, client communication, and construction-related job costing using cloud-based tools. Ideal for someone detail-oriented who enjoys spreadsheets, problem-solving, and working with U.S. clients remotely.
Application Criteria
- At least 1 year of accounting experience (preferred)
- U.S. accounting is preferred.
- At least 1 year of QuickBooks Online experience.
- QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor certification (preferred)
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles
- Experience working remotely and managing multiple client accounts
- Strong communication, organization, and customer service skills
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the main point of contact for clients via Zoom, email, and chat
- Handle full-cycle accounting including AP/AR, payroll, bank reconciliations, and journal entries
- Prepare accurate financial reports, clean balance sheets, and month-end close deliverables
- Perform construction accounting tasks such as job costing, WIP, deferred revenue, and margin tracking
- Maintain and optimize cloud-based accounting systems, primarily QuickBooks Online
- Identify and recommend process improvements to improve efficiency and accuracy
