- System Administration & Maintenance
- Manage day-to-day administration of the Xero platform, ensuring data accuracy and system stability.
- Configure and maintain chart of accounts, tax settings, tracking categories, and approval workflows.
- Create and manage user roles, access permissions, and security settings.
- Monitor system performance and apply configuration updates as needed.
- Implementation, Migration & Integration
- Lead or support Xero implementation and migration projects, including data import, validation, and setup.
- Integrate Xero with third-party platforms such as POS, CRM, payroll, and inventory systems.
- Develop and maintain automation rules for bank reconciliation and other recurring transactions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve integration and data synchronization issues.
- Financial Operations Support
- Ensure accurate and timely bank feed setup and reconciliation.
- Generate and customize management reports such as P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements.
- Support the Finance and Accounting team in month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Assist in maintaining compliance with internal controls and accounting standards.
- Training & User Support
- Provide first-line support for Xero-related inquiries and technical issues.
- Conduct system training sessions and develop user guides and SOPs.
- Promote best practices and ensure consistent system usage across departments.
- Continuous Improvement & Change Management
- Stay updated with Xero feature releases and recommend relevant improvements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline workflows and automate financial processes.
- Lead change management efforts during system upgrades or process enhancements.
Qualifications
Education & Certification
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or related field.
- Xero Advisor or Xero Migration Certification preferred.
- Project Management certification (PMP, PRINCE2) is an advantage.
Experience
- Minimum of 35 years of hands-on experience in Xero administration, implementation, or support.
- Proven experience in integrating Xero with external systems and automating workflows.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and reconciliation processes.
- Experience in multi-entity or SME accounting environments is a plus.
Technical Skills
- Advanced proficiency in Xero configuration, data migration, and user security management.
- Skilled in Excel or Google Sheets for data analysis and reporting.
- Familiar with integration tools and APIs related to Xero.
