Position Details:
- VoIP Systems Administrator.
- Full time contract position, fully remote.
- Mon-Fri normal business hours following the seasonal EST(UTC-5) and EDT(UTC-4) time.
- After hours maintenances Sun-Sat nights, as required and scheduled in advance.
Responsibilities:
- Member of the Infrastructure Engineering, Operations, and Planning group, reporting into the Manager of Infrastructure.
- Build, operate, manage, and improve upon, our large VoIP, IP, CPaaS, and UCaaS platforms and their underlying infrastructure.
Qualifications:
- Quiet and secure workspace with a minimum of 2 good quality Internet connections, from which to complete WLC tasks and responsibilities using WLC-provided equipment.
- Three, or greater, years of senior-level Linux Systems Administration experience across a minimum of three different core Linux distributions.
- Advanced complex shell scripting abilities for automation purposes.
- Comfortable building and managing BigCouch/CouchDB and MySQL databases, tables, replications, backups, files, and content.
- Three, or greater, years of hands-on experience with VoIP SIP and RTP protocols and related software VoIP platform (such as SBCs, proxies, WAFs, load balancers, feature servers, class 4 and 5 platforms, etc.), signaling troubleshooting, configuration management, call handling, and flow management.
- Deep configuration and functionality knowledge of SIP/RTP software/daemons/applications.
- Three, or greater, years of hands-on experiencing engineering and operating voice telecommunication services based off Kazoo, FreeSWITCH, RabbitMQ, Kamailio, OpenSIPS, VoIPMonitor, etc.
- Understanding and familiarity of the popular LAMP open-source software bundle and Dockers/Containers.
- Confident in operating, and within, KVM, Hyper-V, and VMware clustered bare metal hypervisor platforms, as well as within AWS and Rackspace cloud VMs.
- Expert in building, managing, configuring, and maintaining development, lab, pre-production, and production Linux servers, such as but not limited to kernels, images, change management, security, AAA, reporting, libraries, centralized logging, jump servers, daemons, tools, common Internet-facing services, and monitoring/alerting platforms.
- Ability to develop and maintain compliance for ISO 27001, SOC2, HIPAA, and PCI standards and certification requirements.
