Role Overview

  • If you enjoy connecting the dots others miss, this role is your kind of challenge.
  • As a US Tax Accountant, you won't just process numbers — you'll investigate them. Working closely with senior accountants, you'll dive into financial data, reconcile inconsistencies, and build real expertise in U.S. tax reporting and investment fund structures.
  • This is a role for someone who's naturally curious, detail-driven, and eager to learn. You'll be trusted to think critically, solve problems, and grow quickly in a space where precision meets progression.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and reconcile financial data across internal reports and bank statements.
  • Identify discrepancies and investigate inconsistencies in financial records.
  • Assist in the preparation of U.S. K-1 financial statements (14-page version).
  • Support audit processes and maintain documentation for compliance.
  • Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes.
  • Organize and prioritize tasks independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Work with spreadsheets, email systems, and internal databases (e.g., Microsoft Access).
  • Collaborate with senior accountants on tax and fund-related activities.

Required Qualifications (Must-Have):

  • 2+ years of accounting experience.
  • Strong general accounting knowledge, including Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience using Microsoft Outlook and QuickBooks (or similar accounting software).
  • Experience supporting audits and preparing documentation.
  • Ability to review and reconcile balance sheets, internal reports, and bank statements.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks independently.
  • Strong investigative and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to learn and be trained, especially in U.S. K-1 reporting.
  • Comfort working in a night shift schedule (U.S. EST hours).

Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Have):

  • Exposure to U.S. K-1 financial statement preparation.
  • Knowledge of hedge fund or investment fund accounting principles.
  • Understanding of NAV calculations, high-water marks, and investor allocations.
  • Experience with performance fee allocations.
  • Proficiency in Excel formulas for financial modeling and reporting.
  • Familiarity with AI tools for research or accounting verification.
  • Experience with networked filing systems (H drive, P drive, etc.).
  • Experience working under a senior or head accountant.
