Job Title: Fiber Scheduler
Location: Onsite (SM North Edsa, Tower 1)
Shift: Monday to Friday, 6:30 AM – 3:30 PM PST
Overview
As a Fiber Scheduler, you are responsible for designing and overseeing project schedules and cost estimates for projects involving outside plant (OSP) fiber and fiber optic cable placement. This role requires strong coordination with supervisors, field crews, and stakeholders to ensure efficient scheduling, project execution, and adherence to deadlines. Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and maintain scheduling management systems
Coordinate with supervisors to schedule fiber work and SMOP (Standard Method of Procedure) activities
Interact with field crews to ensure alignment with project schedules
Review project schedules against deadlines and identify potential delays
Monitor project progress, including critical path activities and forecasted completion dates
Facilitate corrective actions to address scheduling delays or risks
Participate in meetings with senior operations management, peers, and customers
Support estimating and bidding processes, contract negotiations, and change order preparation
Utilize systems such as P2 Comcast and other tools for scheduling and tracking
Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years of fiber engineering and construction management experience
Minimum of 3 years of outside plant (OSP) and fiber optics engineering experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Experience with Adobe, AutoCAD (ACAD), Designer, Teams, and Google Earth
Familiarity with telecom systems such as P2 Comcast (preferred)
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
High attention to detail and commitment to quality
Self-motivated with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Bachelor's degree in Civil, Construction, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
Strong understanding of safety practices in day-to-day operations
